Partners in Prevention Mentoring Program provides youth, Kindergarten – 12th grade, with a caring, trained, adult friend to serve as a mentor to a young person needing guidance, support and encouragement.
As third time beneficiaries of the Mentoring Children of Prisoners grant through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Partners in Prevention Mentoring Program is able to provide mentors to children who have one or both parents incarcerated. This grant allows us to reach children in a six county area – Gregg, Harrison, Marion, Panola, Rusk and Upshur Counties. However, we also serve children who are simply in need of a caring adult friend.
